2007 is getting booked
Feb 21-26 I will be in Ohio visiting my Grandma for her 93 Birthday and attending my first baby shower. (Other Kimmy - where in Ohio do you live?) It should be fun - my dad and I are flying up on Wednesday, we got a rental car and will drive over to see Grandma. Thursday is her actual B-day so my mom will be there by then, she is driving to stay longer than us and to take the Devil dog. Friday we will head down to Aunt Judy's and the shower is on Saturday. That evening we will drive back to Grandma for Sunday breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then we wake up Monday and fly home. Who knows when mom will come home- she needs a break too!
March 2nd is the Taylor Hicks concert. That was mom's Christmas present. He is coming to the HOB and we will rock it out with the good 'ole Southern Boy! We got tickets for everyone: Mom, Dad, me and Andy. We will eat at the HOB and then go into the concert. Should be fun!
March 14-19 We will be in ATL for the race -
Me, Dad and Mom @ Daytona 500, 2006.
We are loading up the camper on Wednesday and leaving for ATL (me, mom, Dad, Andy and Murphy. (Dudley will be staying with Matt more than likely) We will be home Monday early and ready to work! I can't wait!
March 24th is the Double K Baby Shower - Kim Keith and Kim Kemp, yep that is me too! The SnowBE's are throwing it at Velvet's house in G-Boro, NC.
Some of the SnowBE's:
April so far is WIDE open except for the Child Care Class we are taking on the 14th from 9-3.
May 9th - 13th we will be in Darlington, SC for the Race. Can you tell we are NASCAR fans or what?! We try to attend 3 races a year - well that rule really started just last year - but we said we would try to go to 2 new races every year and of course ALWAYS Darlington! It is after all the
May 14th is my Birthday!
May 19th I am taking a breast Feeding class - OMG I am scared about that - I am not a boob girl!
May 31st Kim Keith is Due- she is having a BOY!
June I am on a mission to not do anything at all - I am sure it will be very very hot and I will be ready to bust so I am on a mission to not commit to ANYTHING! Baby is Due 23rd!
July - I hope July is me, baby and Andy learning what works and what doesn't with out any other commitments - and I am not on a mission to make that happen - that is happening!
August 1-6th is the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. That is where my mom is from and her family still lives there so we try to go every year! (it is also always just before her B-day so we celebrate it while there too) This year it is our goal to go with new Baby Kemp and Andy in tow. It is hard to fit Andy in cause that is his busy time at work, but I have begged! Last year they inducted Harry Carson, he was from Florence, SC ....
September is still open except for the 14th that is my Daddy's B-day!
October 18-22 we are off to our 3rd race. Martinsville - Baby Kemp can not go to a race that small, so we will see who stays in the camper with "it" I can tell you who it wont be ... Andy!
November 8-11th I will be in Raleigh for Melanie and William's wedding - that is if they don't run away before then! Why is planning a wedding so darn stressful?! It is supposed to be the time of your life? I almost called ours off 3 times - Good luck Guys!
December - the rat race will be on to shop, eat and visit - which I am sure will be even harder with a baby! Ha ha I can't wait!
So that is my 2007 summed up - I know there will be a shower and a Bachlorette party in there for Melbel and I am sure some quick unplanned weekends!
20 weeks and Counting 20 more
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom, and about 10 inches from head to heel. (For the first 20 weeks, we use measurements taken from the top of the baby's head to her bottom — known as the "crown to rump" measurement. After that, we use measurements from head to toe. This is because a baby's legs are curled up against her torso during the first half of pregnancy and are very hard to measure.)
Note: baby is not a girl - well maybe it is, but if it is then I do not know that!
At times I can't believe that a baby is growing inside of me and that we will soon be parents and at other times I can't wait for it to come! I wish it was June already - maybe that is the Beer and Tequila calling - maybe that is my excitement - If I knew I wouldn't tell cause it would probably be choice A. Ha ha
I will do my best to keep you all posted and I hope you have a good weekend!

I am going to DIE!
A FREAKIN' COLD! Not baby sick may I add but a COLD - Note above I am not a good sick person - the minute I sniffle, sneeze or rub my ear I am off to the Dr. I have stock in amoxicillen (not really but i should) I walk in the Dr.s and he writes that prescription and I leave to go to CVS - I am not a good girl either I never take all of it, I take a couple of days for times like these when I don't wanna go, when I know it is not serious I just feel like I am going to die - but now here I am preggo and sick. You are supposed to be a tough woman and fight it - I tried so then I called the Dr. (my OB) she told me to look at the list go with Tylenol cold and sinus BLAH BLAH BLAH so I did I have been taking that shit since Wednesday, today I traded up to Sudafed - still feel like ASS! On top of all that I am 18.5 weeks preggo and EVERYONE keeps asking "have you felt the baby?" My response is still the same, "I am not sure!" "Oh you will know" Now here I am FREAKING out because what if something is wrong, did I take the wrong Tylenol product? Have I harmed my unborn child - I probably put it to sleep? OMG Stop being so dramatic, I know, I know! From mom: Relax we did a lot worse - ha ha my response to that is always the same - "Mom, that is why i only scored a 740 on my SAT's" she never laughs! Haha
Anyway the book says that some "fat" women don't feel the baby as soon as slender ones - ha ha I added "fat" for my own effects!
Well wish me luck if I feel this way tomorrow still I am going to my general Dr to plea for help! I am sure he too knows what I can take. I have the next baby appointment on Thursday. For their sake I hope I am still not SICK!
PS- it is KILLING me that I don't know the sex of the baby, i keep trying to make Andy agree to find out, but he is still standing strong! Oh well I did 2 tests on line - the Chinese test - it said it will be a GIRL - YEAH~ then I took another test that takes my age, Andy's age and the time of month conceived - it said ..... BOY - well shit 50/50 what is that?!

Very Productive Weekend
I cleaned out my closet - 3 bags for Good Will and 2 storage boxes for the attic -
I finally picked out a crib set and the bedding to go along with it - if you are interested - check it out!
Furniture:
http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.aspx?CatNum=JH+343-8225&JSEnabled=false&mscssid=&cmResetCat=true&hdnOnGo=true
I am ordering the crib, bookcase, changer and chest all in pecan.
Bedding:

I really feel like part of the load has been lifted - now we just have to wait for it all to get here so I can pick paint for the room - it is already yellow and I am hoping we can leave 3 of the walls and paint one wall in stripes with green and yellow then make the other 3 walls 1/2 and 1/2 with a chair rail - we will have to see what it looks like when it gets here! I am getting excited!
Hope you all had a great weekend!

17 weeks down 23 more to go
Andy and I have been talking about trying to pick a new name - one that is unisex - so I can call the bump in my belly by it's name and not worry about calling it all these weird names - I think for the most part every name we came up with we have a friend that already uses that name - so for now we are still on the original 2 names - I am stuck between 2 different patterns for the babies room - if you want to help let me know I will gladly send you the links to the pictures!
Well this is what and who we are this week - notice that "baby" is now refers to as a HE - Baby Center refers to the baby every other week as girl - boy - girl- boy so this is not my wishful thinking ... Your baby weighs about 5 ounces now, and he's around 5 inches long — about the size of a large onion. The umbilical cord, his lifeline to the placenta, is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby can move his joints, and his skeleton — until now, rubbery cartilage — is starting to harden into bone. Some of it will remain cartilage for years after he's born. A newborn's skeleton has 300 parts (a combination of bone and cartilage). As your child grows, some of these parts harden and fuse together. By the time your baby reaches adulthood, he'll have just 206 bones.
With the baby being compared to a LARGE Onion I can't come up with one thing to name it! For you SnowBE's that are still in my life we could always name it Olivia - but no one else would get it - haha so I think I will stick with "O"

Weekend of relaxation
Well I guess I shouldn't say nothing, but I did not travel and I did not run run run!
Friday night I did laundry at my pace - watching TV and taking care of it when I felt like it! :) All while waiting on Melanie to call - I knew she would call but was not sure of when it would be! Around 9 pm I looked at Andy and said "honey, why hasn't she called yet?" I was so worried something was wrong - she called within 10 minutes - ha ha - Congratulations on your engagement MelBel! I went to bed after I spoke with her.
On Saturday we got up ate breakfast and went to Babies R Us and Target to start looking at things to register for! Wow so overwhelming! We had fun and there is no doubt in my mind that I over registered for things I don't need - oh well!
On Sunday we got up ate breakfast and then I went to Mom and Dad's with Dudley, we picked up Murphy and off to the beach we went - a quick game of ball and headed home! when I got home we picked dinners for the week and I headed to Wally World while Andy finished cleaning his car and the garage -
Now isn't that something after writing it all down I really did a lot just not at the tiring pace I am used to! It was very relaxing and I could defiantly get used to that!

15 Weeks Tomorrow!
Well this is what I look like now - I am actually the size of a pear! See my weekly name below! We had another Dr appointment today - and I am glad that is was today - I had some spotting over the Christmas week and was a little worried - but all is great! - The Dr did a physical exam and said my cervix is long and very tight - my reply: "is that good?" She said yes it was very good. I got to hear the heart beat - oh my what a wonderful sound - it was very loud and strong - it was amazing - On my week 15 update it does not compare us to a fruit or object - it says that at 15 weeks we are: around 4 inches long, crown to rump, your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 ounces.- so I will make up my own name this week - ha ha Last week we were a large lemon and our name was Le'mone so I am going to go with Perry for the size of a pear! I love it - I love that I have not been sick - but at the same time that is scary! I know I know I am lucky! Love you all and please continue to keep us in your prayers!

INCONSIDERATE
I went to the Dr today for my first Ultrasound that was supposed to happen at noon - I was early and ready! So excited to see that little heart working here is how it went:
Andy and I both left work early with all intentions to have our first baby picture I get there, check in, and I think this is about how the conversation went:
Receptionist: "oh we called you this am, the ultra tech is out today, she is really sick. I am sorry we will have to reschedule."
Me: "What number did you call?"
Receptionist: "oh we called 650-8969 around 8:30"
Me: "My husband and I both leave for work around 6:15 am could you please change that to call my cell phone, we both took off work today to be here"
Receptionist: "I guess I can make a note of that, but we prefer to call your house"
Me: "Well you see how much good that did me! Do you have my test results, from last week?"
Receptionist: "Well I am sure if there was something wrong they would call you!"
Me: "You mean like you called me today?"
Frustrated and red in the face I stormed out !
Exactly what class do they take in school to think that a person will be happy with any of those answers?! How inconsiderate can a HUMAN be to think that someone who took 8 almost 9 months to get pregnant and took off work to come see their baby for the very first time to not understand why I was frustrated - she acted as if I should have been happy the tech was sick?!
Anyway I don't want to complain or whine so much that I ruin the fun of the Blog but I hope to have a picture next Monday at 10:40!

Bored
Why is that one day you can't have enough hours in the day and the next day you are wondering where all of the hours come from?! I am guessing today is SO SLOW because tomorrow is a BIG day! Our first Ultrasound - I am not sure what you can actually see at week 9 (well actually 8-3/4) but I hope to see something that will make me relax because this is killing me! I know some of you will stone me because of this but I almost wish I were a little sick so I would feel better --- I know the Dr said that my sore boobs and my tiredness were great signs I just can't believe it - I have always been a sickly person so I figured this would be horrible - and now that it isn't it is driving me nutz! Oh well I will quit complaining now but if any of you figure out why one day is so slow and boring and how I can make it go fast PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
PS Thanks for all of the Congrats on the last entry!

A lot to say this time!
I AM PREGNANT!
Here is the story of how we found out and our first appointment -
Andy and I returned from our vacation on October 15th it was a Sunday and my Aunt Flow was 2 days late. I did not feel any different than usual and I actually was having slight cramps so I kept thinking she was knocking on that door when we got home I remembered that I didn't have any pregnancy tests (this was actually the first month that I wasn't testing 5 days before her visit) I had to wait until Monday. We had both already planned to go to work late on Monday (I thought I would die) Monday am I went to the store and bought a 2 pack of test I went to work and had to sit and wait all day! When I got home and Andy got home we took the test and started to get ready for dinner as I kept checking the test I started to see a very light pink line and a bright pink line. Andy was like well maybe I said no not maybe honey that line has never been there and I had taken several in the past 8 months! He was like really are you sure I said yeah. Of course I took another test in the am ha ha! Well I called the Dr the next day and said you know that appointment I had scheduled for December for fertility options - I said we can cancel it and I need to schedule a prenatal visit that is when it hit me --- I cried then! One the way home from work on Wednesday I bought a pack of the digital test and sure enough I took one and it said the actual words Pregnant holly cow we did it!
At first we were not going to tell ANYONE but I was so anxious and nervous that I wasn't sleeping so we decided we would tell my mom and dad on Sunday and Andy's parents and brother on that following Monday. We gave the grandparents to be books about 101 ways to spoil your grand kids, and so you're expecting to be a grandparent - it was really neat! On Sunday when my parents said Congratulations to Andy is the first time I think he really accepted it - it was awesome!
On November 7th we had our first Dr appointment it was okay a lot of test and a lot of blood taking - I thought I would need a transfusion! Ha ha The Dr walked into the room and said well it is positive we are going to have a baby! I said that makes 7 she looked confused and said 7 kids?! I said no 7 positives she was like what?! I giggled Andy giggled and then all the questions started I told her I was nervous because I had not been sick she said every pregnancy was different and that everything looked just fine. I think she figured out how anxious and nervous I was so she scheduled an internal ultrasound for next Tuesday at noon! I am so excited!
That is where we are today our appointment for next Tuesday is at noon and don't worry I will keep all of you posted!
