Thankful

I am THANKFUL for my wonderful Husband ... he is so understand, gentle and loving. He accepts me for who I am and really if I am feeling blue, down, tired or hurt he ALWAYS know just what to do to make me feel better!

I am THANKFUL for our wonderful daughter. She is a good baby ... she very rarely cries ((knocks on wood)) she is BEAUTIFUL and is very understanding when mommy gets confused or stressed about being a first time mommy!

I am THANKFUL for our parents ... even though I bitch, complain and curse them at times, they are wonderful loving grandparents and parents! I thank God everyday that they are here to help us!

I am THANKFUL for my BEST FRIEND Melanie, she is the best in the world. She just returned from her honeymoon and I thought for sure I would DIE while she was out of town. She knows what to say and when to say it ... I call her about EVERYTHING and really I fill her ears on a daily basis with the SHIT in my life and she still LOVES me!

I am THANKFUL for our house, our cars, our jobs and the "Kosher" life we have!

I am THANKFUL for TIVO! Okay I know this one isn't a "life" thing but with out it I would be LOST! I don't know what I would do ... um maybe clean ... haha

I am THANKFUL for my blogger friends. I really like the ones that comment ... haha

I am THANKFUL for our Neighbor's Adrian and Giny ... Adrian is our Handyman ... no matter what time or what the problem is he is willing and ready to help us! Thank God ... Andy is not handy but he sure can cook!

I am THANKFUL for online banking! Without it I would die. At times I really think I have OCD.

I am THANKFUL for the sounds and motion monitor we have for the baby. Without it I DO NOT think I would ever sleep!

I am THANKFUL for MY LIFE ... my life in full. Even though I bitch I really have NOTHING to bitch about! My Husband is wonderful, our baby is wonderful, our family is very loving and really we live a very nice life!

I am THANKFUL for MY SnowBE's ... I love them all so much I even have a tattoo in their honor ... they are the best friends anyone in the world could ask for! We still get together at least 2 times a year and sometimes even more ... I love you all!

Want to let eveyone know that Tatum will NOT be in a Turkey for her Turkey Pictures! haha But she does have 2 very cute Turkey Day outfits - so stay tuned!

Hey everyone ... so so sorry that I have been absent ... for a few days I did try to read your blogs and keep up, but somehow I got so far behind at work that I can't even think! I is nutz ... this happens every year at the end of the year!

I hope you all are well and I am sorry I have not been here ... I have been thinking about all of you! I will write more soon - maybe I will do a blog about our "Little Turkey" soon!

Where on Earth did God go?!

Well I am not church goer - I do pray every night, I do believe and I do know right from wrong. However I do not understand the NEED to remove GOD or any other Higher being from our everyday lives ... I got a e-mail today about Obama and his refusal to not only put his hand over his heart during the Pledge but his refusal to say it. I do not know Politics - I have a hard time following them, but I have been trying to pay attention to all of it and follow it. I think before now I was just like "whatever" but over the last 4 years I realized that if I "what evered" it then I could not complain about it - so I started trying to pay attention ...

The Lakes Halloween Parade

Well I have been telling you for weeks that I would put up Tatum's Halloween Costume pictures and I am slack ... I wanted to take her to a "professional" so they would be really really cute, but time snuck up on me and I still haven't taken her ... so they aren't great but they are here! We had the big Annual Halloween Parade today ...I just love our neighborhood ... it was so much fun and I was very surprised with the turn out! There were all kinds of people there and we even had 2 fire trucks! A police officer lead the parade down our main road from the front of the neighborhood to the club house. One firetruck was behind him and then all of the walkers and bike riders, then all the golf carts and then the second fire truck. It was awesome ... next year we are going to go all out and decorate the golf cart too!

Well at our 4 month check up I found out that Tatum now weighs 13lbs 1oz (50%) she is now 25-1/4 long (95%) and her head is 41CM (45%). She is growing just as she should and the Dr said things look great! We are starting to try cereal ... which is getting better, but the first 2 days were not so good, tonight however she took 4 baby spoon fulls and actually swallowed it ... haha Here she is trying:

Today our baby girl is 4 months old ... can you believe it?! I can't it is like she just got here yesterday and already it has been 4 months ... OMG! With each week and month we have reached milestones - the day she turned 3 months she started sleeping through the night, moved to her big girl crib and today ... 4 months she got a new Duck Bath! Here she is ...

2 posts ... one day ... holly beegeezus

Well I hate to report this, but the Milk Train is slowing running out of gas. Before my weekend away it started happening, the right side was still chugging strong and the left ... well it was starting to run on fumes. Once on my long weekend I tried and tried to stay on top of it and keep hydrated and take them to the pump as often as I should have. For the most part I was on schedule except for the 8pm stop and it was delayed both nights until well after 1am. All of the pumps were a waste, they had to be dumped down the drain. Now that I am home, the little one is having a very hard time getting back on that train. She seems okay after a few minutes on the right, but the left is a VERY HURTFUL "Tug and Go." I am not sure if she is used to the artificial nozzle now or if she just likes being able to look around while filling up. What ever it is, we made it 4 months ... yep she will me 4 months young on Thursday we go in for our 4 month old tune up on Friday - shots and all ... how scary! I guess then we will ask for advise on how to make the dreaded switch! Should you have ANY advise PLEASE comment!

Halloween ...

Well the costume went in the washer today for pictures on Friday ... so don't you worry boys and girls, next week you will see what the princess will be for her 1st Halloween! She will be queen of this house, queen of the Sea and I am sure she will give you all a great laugh!

I wanted to hang the sign over her crib, but it was a no go - the crib sits Catty Corner in her room, I tried and tried to rearrange - but it was not good, so the sign is over her changing station! I LOVE IT!

I SURVIVED!

The weekend was WONDERFUL~ Melanie is my Best Friend and let me tell you ... leaving the baby was the hardest thing I have EVER done, but she was worth it! She was a champ - we dressed her up and made her do a little scavenger hunt thing that she had a blast playing! When I dropped the baby off on Friday I cried for about 20 min of the 4 hour drive. I was fine that night and then I only cried a little bit on Saturday night when I called home to check on her ... so for the most part I did fine! I don't have any pictures to post - like an idiot I forgot the camera ... I will have pictures as soon as Anna gets them to me, she took a lot!
Melanie's Scavenger hunt included the following fun things:
*Kiss a bald mans head ... don't forget the lipstick
*Get 3 men's business cards ~one she got was a bail bonds men ... haha
*Find someone to show you a picture of his girlfriend/wife ~ A man actually showed her pictures of his family ... he was very very nice and fun~ his friend was the one that gave the bail bond card!
*Get a tag from a man's boxers or underwear ~this one was the best
*Get 3 men to sign your body where clothes don't hide
*Find someone to let you Tattoo (with marker) oh his body "I love Melanie"
*Pretend to walk down the isle with a stranger
*Find a man named William and ask him to marry you ... get down on 1 knee
*Find a condom
*Leave a condom for a tip when you order a beer
*Get your picture taken with a monkey - she collect monkeys
*Get a phone number of a stranger
*Collect a match book from the bar

I can't remember all of them ... but when we get the pictures I will remember more, we made her take a picture with each and every person and card. Anywho the weekend was a blast - Friday night I prayed to the Porcelain God, thanks to those of you who held hair and washed my face, Saturday night I lost my voice, drank again and now feel like ASS, but hey it was worth it!

Nervous Wreck

Well Tatum is 3 months 3 weeks old ... she has been sleeping through the night for 3 weeks now. I pray every night that it is not a sick joke that she will be telling me haha jokes on you in 2 weeks. She goes down around 8 and wakes around 8. It really is great! Daddy and I are complete different parents now! IT IS WONDERFUL!
Now you ask why am I nervous - well this weekend is Melanie's Bachlorette Party and well you guessed it ... can't take a baby there. So Friday I will be leaving I will be going to Savanna to Party with all the girls! We are leaving Friday and I will return home on Sunday! I am excited and nervous. I know she will be fine, but I am so narcs about a few things:
1- will she miss me?
2 - will she take the boob again when I return?
3 - what if she gets mad at me?
4 - how will I handle being away from her?
I know the answer to number 4 ... zanix and beer! haha

Anyway ... I just put the baby down and we are going to catch up on some devo ...

Sleep ... what is sleep?

Well ... thank you, thank all of you for the well wishes and the advise on putting the baby in her own room! Things have really gone pretty well ... Sunday night Andy slept in the room with her ... on a mattress on the floor. Tuesday and Wednesday night was my night ... I know some of you are thinking why are you in the room with her ... well our little princess uses a paci (that ugly pink thing in all of her pictures) and if miss thing looses it and can't find her hand she cries. So with her room being all the way on the other side of the house and mom and dad needing sleep we have taken turns staying in her room . Tonight I am going back to my own room and so is Andy ... I don't work on Friday so if I have to get up and walk over there no big deal! I am hoping I will be able to let her cry it out a little more now! For the most part things are going great ... if you have any suggestions on letting her cry it out I would love to hear them!

Well tonight is the night ... the baby has officially been moved

to her own room. She has been in our room in her pack-n-play.

(It doubles as a bassinet) This was her first day home that was only 3 months ago and she has already moved to her own room ... ((SOBS SOBBS)) My baby is growing up! ((Sobs))

It was easier to have her close to us ... her room is in the OTHER side of the house. Since it has been 3 weeks of 12 hour nights of sleeping I decided I could give her the freedom she needs ... the hubby (The Wonderful) Hubby is on the floor in her room on a mattress and she is in her crib for the first time!!!! ... he stays home with her on Monday and I go to work ... he said, "I will stay with her, you get some sleep." OMG I am stoked! I will probably toss and turn all night trying to hear her breathing cause that is what I do now ... I wake every hour or so just to make sure things are okay.

Well I think this transition will be harder for me than for her ... so send luck her way and prayers mine, I will need strength to let her start growing up ... ((sobs sobs))

PS - here is Tatum and my dad ... he is doing much better with her, still not all by himself but he isn't far off. This was his Birthday night out - we took him to dinner! Happy Birthday Daddy!

I missed my Blog Birthday

I was just looking back to see when I joined this crazy thing that not only am I addicted to writting all my crazy shit down in but catching up on you ... I read bloggs by 26 people each day and I love to go to your pages and see what is new in your life ... anyway back to the point ~ I started this blog on June 12th 2006. Well on June 11th my baby girl was born so on my blogb-day I was in the hospital with her, not that I would have known it was my 1 year mark ... but now that I know it is the day after one of the most important days in my life I think I will remember!
ps only 123 posts since June 12th of 2006 ... I think I am SAD! That is it! 123 there are 365 days and I didn't even do half that in more than a year ... very sad I will try to do better!
