Where on Earth did God go?!

Well I am not church goer - I do pray every night, I do believe and I do know right from wrong. However I do not understand the NEED to remove GOD or any other Higher being from our everyday lives ... I got a e-mail today about Obama and his refusal to not only put his hand over his heart during the Pledge but his refusal to say it. I do not know Politics - I have a hard time following them, but I have been trying to pay attention to all of it and follow it. I think before now I was just like "whatever" but over the last 4 years I realized that if I "what evered" it then I could not complain about it - so I started trying to pay attention ...

I had heard about this but a picture is definitely worth 1000 words! God save us!!!

Senator Barack Obama, Governor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin stand during the national anthem. Barack Hussein Obama's photo (that's his real name)......the article said he REFUSED TO NOT ONLY PUT HIS HAND ON HIS HEART DURING THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, BUT REFUSED TO SAY THE PLEDGE....how in the hell can a man like this expect to be our next Commander-in-Chief????
So tell me what am I missing - why should we not take into consideration that the US has gone to SHIT is it because we are removing God or is it because we are just slack and "times are changing?"
Didn't mean to get all political or Religious on ya ...

And geez, look where his hands are!

He's a high-value guy, so I'm guessing that there is a pretty interesting story behind why he won't say it.
I think he may be a little too much of an independent thinker to ever be president.

That's good and bad.

The pledge of allegiance is a socialist chant. Many people view it as similar to the kinds of things that Hitler's Nazi Youth were taught to say.

Deeply religious people see it as swearing allegiance to something other than God. There are numerous other reasons to appose it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pledge_of_Allegiance

Frankly, it is a stupid and meaningless chant. Good for Obama for refusing to spew such drivel just to win over a few voters. I wasn't a big fan, but I will have to really look at him now! The rest of the pool are all too willing to sell out their principles (if they even have any) to the highest bidder.
