Great Breakfast idea

Okay I just got this e-mail from Nikki, my cousin's girlfriend and of course my friend! Anyway it had a great idea for breakfast omelets ... Check it out:

ZIP LOCK OMELETS
This works great !!!
Good when you're alone or when all your family is together.

Best feature is that no one has to wait for their special omelet !!!

Have guests write their name on a quart-size spills freezer bag with permanent marker. -

Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the quart size spills bag (not more than 2) shake to combine them.- Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc.- Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake.
- Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up. -
Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes.
You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. - Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily. Be prepared for everyone to be amazed.
- Nice to serve with fresh fruit and coffee cake; everyone gets involved in the process and a great conversation piece having these ready the night before, and putting the bag in boiling water while you get ready. And in 13 minutes, you have a nice omelet for a quick breakfast!!!

Stupid People

Okay so get this ... at work we do evaluations on a 2 time a year basis ... Our last evaluations were in March. One of our guys got a $0.25 an hour raise. Yesterday he went to one of our managers and asked him if he could look into taking away his raise?! That it caused him to have to pay to much taxes. He was only getting another $6 - 7 a week on his check and he thought that it was not worth it ... We tired to explain that the government figures his retirement on his pay scale and taxes paid in. We also tried to explain that with every $6 - 7 each week eventually it could be $28 - 35 each week ...
Now do you still want to ask why this place drives me NUTZ?!

Weird Week

This week has been a really busy, weird week! Work has been crazy, because it is billing week and home life has been mellow and slow! It has actually been very weird. Not much really going on, we are still trying to plan our anniversary vacation which is really messed up because it is currently planed for the same weekend as my college (Lees McRae College) http://www.lmc.edu/sites/home/v2/ homecoming.
We are trying to figure out how to do it another weekend so I
can be at the homecoming. But so far it has not been working out. I am not going to give up just yet. But I will have to make a decision soon because I was supposed to be in charge of getting the house and stuff for all of the Snow BE's. A ACK Stress is not good.

Other than that not much going on ... We were offered a Mountain house to use for a quick getaway any weekend we want and I hope that this weekend the gang from MB can figure out a plan for that!

My current calendar is looking pretty bare ... I don't have anything in pen until July 21st when Melanie and William come back to the beach for a weekend visit and to celebrate Williams Birthday! Then August 1 - 6th I am off to Ohio. To visit family for the great ol Football hall of Fame. We go to this every year and my aunt puts on a great party! http://www.profootballhof.com/ After that I am headed to Jamaica with my Hubby in October for our anniversary! I want to plan a trip to Raleigh to see Julie and Rick's new house (and of course to rub that baby belly). I want to plan a trip to Cali. To see Scott and Kristy. And of course the trip we want to plan to go to the Mountains.

Okay time to stop rambling about my hopeful travels ... But one last note: if you have a moment check out my friend Stephanie's blog. http://stephanie823.blogspot.com/ Her brother is FAMOUS, he is in the band Motion City Soundtrack : http://www.motioncitysoundtrack.com/splash.php. Her family is so proud and I think it is just awesome to say I know someone who has a famous family member! Ha ha

Hope you all have a great rest of the week, it is almost over!

WAY TO GO CANES!
The Carolina Hurricanes won The Cup! http://www.carolinahurricanes.com/
It was awesome! Andy was yelling at the TV, the dog was hiding and my heart was racing. It was a great game ... we actually won! Now watch out Raleigh, Myrtle Beach has talk of getting our own team. I am not sure if it is a "pro" team or a farm team, but they have talked about moving them from Florence, SC to Myrtle Beach. http://www.peedeecyclones.com/

Today was a CRAZY day ... Work is nutz and I really have NO IDEA how any building in SC can pass inspection or stay standing for that matter. Never mind the hurricanes and floods, but the contractors here are PLAIN STUPID! Stupid I say. I can name 2 dozen buildings I wouldn't step foot in if I had a choice. But I wont list them here, just ask me before you buy any condos, or send your child to school!
The Hurricans (Hockey) team plays tonight. This is it, if they win they are the Cup Champs, if they loose they are LOSERS. Andy and I are sitting on the couch watching Hells Kitchen http://www.fox.com/hellskitchen/ with the Hockey game in PIP. We are switching back and forth and of course the dog is upstairs hiding under the bed from Andy yelling at the TV, SCORE!
One last thought, I got a great e-mail today about a free bracelet to support Cervical Cancer. "Connect with your friends, daughters, and other people you enjoy and care about to create your own personal statement to help in the fight against cervical cancer." The bracelet is FREE all you have to do is fill out the form and for every 2 ordered money is raised for cervical cancer research. Go Check it out! http://www.maketheconnection.org/cervical_cancer/default.asp
Even if you are a male you can order them for the females in your life!

Love you all hope you have a wonderful week!

Gibberish

Why gibberish?! Well honestly I have so much to say that I don't even know how to get it all organized! So I will just start with the announcement that I am another honorary aunt. I don't have any real nieces or nephews because the one sibling I have, does not have children. (even if he did I wouldn't know it, we haven't spoken in years) But some of my very best friends in the world do. The newest addition to my extended family:

First Picture: Kaylie only a few minutes old
Mommy and Kaylie Just after birth: looking great Trea!

So congratulations to Trea and Rick! Kaylie is beautiful and I can't wait to witness her growing up! Andy and I love all of you!

Kaylie with Daddy

I guess that really is the most exciting news I have ... Other than the fact that work is swamped, we keep getting bid after bid after bid, and usually we bid and get no awarded jobs. Something has changed it seems like we are getting every job we have bid lately ... Even the ones we bid high. Which is great, but we will have to hire some more people that is FOR SURE! On Monday we bought a new delivery truck ... We knew our old one wouldn't make it through all the work we have coming up .... The new truck is awesome and our delivery driver is now OFFICIALLY spoiled!
The Hurricanes lost last night in over time ... http://www.carolinahurricanes.com/ ... That sucks they will now have to play the next game out of town ... Which is BAD. For any of you who played sports you understand this. "home team advantage" is NO JOKE! We will see how it all goes but that "Stanley Cup" is looking future and future away.
I think this weekend will be low key and spent relaxing and getting ready for our busy busy summer and all of the upcoming travels!

Well last night when I got off work I took the dog out in the back yard to play fetch ... I live on a lake and we have a lot of "wild life." Well we recently had a new addition of 5 baby swans. They are so cute ... I decided to stop playing ball and feed them. At first everything was okay, I fed them, and Dudley just sat there and watched. I sat down in the grass to take some pictures of them, Dudley by my side just watching them as well. They didn't seem to mind that we were there ... Then a turtle or a fish swam under one of the "parents" and it started to jerk it legs up and down and hiss and honk ... wow the honk, it was a God awful sound! Well Dudley got scared and started to whimper ... The swans did not like that ... They started at us ... Got out of the water and chased us. Dudley ran me over trying to beat me to the house ... It was so funny I thinks would have won Americas Funniest Videos! Today ... Not so funny ... I have a big bruise and a few scratches on my arm that hurt like hell! ha ha Oh well!
Other than that not much going on, I sat on the couch and watched the Hurricanes http://www.carolinahurricanes.com/ get another win ... One step close to winning the Cup! While watching the game I was surfing the web. First for a vacation and then I found the best site in the world ... http://www.thecontainerstore.com
They have it all! I ordered a few things and can't wait for them to come in!
See ya later!
